Klimpt Gustave 1862 – 1918 Austrian symbolist and Art Nouveau painter. He studied at the Vienna School of Art and Craft and initially painted murals and ceiling in public buildings. He was a founder member of the Vienna Succession Movement in 1897. The paintings below show arrangements of cut shapes. I particularly like the sense of flow or movement given by the arrangement of the shapes in the second picture
